Two years ago company Telemax created the brand of smart urban furniture City Gecko. At the beginning of this year, our offer is richer for one new product, “smart bus station”.
This innovation within the City Gecko brand was successfully installed in the field for the first time and a modern and functional stand was put at the service of the citizens of Banja Luka. The station was installed on a location in Trapiste near the “Dr. Miroslav Zotović” institute. With this event, the way of doing business of our company and the social responsibility that distinguishes us was once again confirmed. Using the energy of the sun, we protect our environment, and by installing smart bus station, we strengthen the urban community through modern infrastructure.
Clean solar energy is used and converted into electricity that allows citizens to charge their smart devices and access free internet. This energy also enables the power supply of the info display where various ambient data can be found (temperature, air pressure, pollution level, noise level, energy consumption). In addition to these data, which aim to raise the environmental awareness of citizens, citizens can also find useful information about the bus line, ie the time of arrival of the bus, and find interesting tourist locations near the station.
So far, over 20 smart benches have been installed in five countries, and thanks to CIDEA, the City Development Agency of the City of Banja Luka, and funds from the UNDP and the City of Banja Luka, the first smart bus stop has been installed. They recognized the importance and development of smart infrastructure, which will surely be one of the main driving forces of cities in the future.
We are not the only manufacturers of such devices, but we are the first in the country and we are slowly but surely taking the lead in the domestic market and opening foreign markets. Valuable work in the past period has resulted in the introduction of the CE mark for smart benches, which completes the documentation required for the export of benches to the European and world markets. The stations are currently in the process of testing to provide them with a secure ticket for placement on the foreign market, as a guarantee of the quality of our position.
The modularity of this product allows us to easily maintain it, so that in the event of damage to one part of the stand, only that part changes, not the entire station, as is the case with other stations in the city.
We hope that the citizens will be happy to use the opportunities provided by our smart station. We sincerely hope for a positive change in the understanding and use of renewable energy sources and new technologies. The installation of such attitudes changes the physiognomy of the city, and on the other hand, new incomes and new jobs are generated, creating a more positive and better environment for life in the city.
